Kiana goes to Preschool

Kiana had her first day of school today! She has been counting down the days. I have been counting with her, at least on the days she drove me crazy (most days). But something weird happened today when I dropped her off that I wasn't expecting. I was sad before I even got to the car. And I was the not the only one, Mariah was sad also. We both just kinda looked at each other like now what. Kiana is usually the one who runs the show. Mariah and I pretty much march to Kiana's drum. Well anyways on the way home I started to cry. I know some of you are probably thinking big deal, you always cry (haha). I've left Kiana many times before and for much longer than those 5 minutes today, but this was different. Kiana is growing up, she is not going to be with me all day everyday. It hit me hard! I am getting choked up just writing about it. It's so crazy how fast they grow up. She is my first, my baby. I love watching her grow and mature but and the same time it is hard when you realize your baby is growing up.

Mariah didn't like me much today, she thought I was boring. I am not use to being the one who entertains her, that's Kiana's job. Usually Kiana plays with Mariah and then when Mariah gets mad or bored I hold and cuddle her. So I tried that today. Yeah right! Mariah didn't want me to hold and cuddle her for two hours. I always thought Mariah was such an easy baby, she doesn't wine and fuss for me 24/7. Well a big part of that is because she has a WONDERFUL big sister who plays with her all day. I tried to play and make her laugh but its not that easy. It was fun for like 10 minutes then I was ready to put her down and get things done. I guess I didn't realize that Kiana is nonstop when it comes to Mariah. I have some pretty big shoes to fill.

She was such a good sport posing for all the pictures I had to take

We had a fun day up provo canyon taking picture. It was such a lovely day I love all the amazing colors of fall.

Oh brother...the little one is now walking!

It is always exciting watching baby's first steps. You spend so much time helping them up on things and carry them around that it provides a sigh of relief when they can start to walk solo and do a few things on their own...But wait, talk about your classic "blessing and a curse." The moment is finally here that Mariah is now walking! Let me tell you, she gets into everything! Everything! I can't keep up. But she is so adorable though; I could just eat her. Its funny though...a lot of people comment on how small she is and on how young she was when she started officially walking solo (at 9 months). Rightly so, because she is only in the first 1st percentile of her weight. Sometimes I still get a little spooked when I walk around a corner and stumble on this little hobbit walking in my front room. Its not normal I tell you...that small and walking. But I love it! Not only does Mariah look and act like Kiana but now she is following in her footsteps......literally haha (Kiana walked at 8 months).

Kiana's 1st dance class

My little baby is growing up. Kiana has wanted to do ballet for a long time but I kept putting it off. She turned four this year so I figured I should let her sign up for dance. She went to her first class yesterday and she was so so so cute. I didn't get to watch cause they don't like parents distracting the kids. She told me later that she learned how to walk on her toes and jump with her knees together. I can't wait until parents day so I can watch her dance!

Halloween Flashback

I love Halloween. It is so much fun getting all dressed up and going and seeing all the cute costumes. And of course the candy is an added bonus! I love the decorations and the haunted houses and pretty much anything scary to do with Halloween. But my favorite is getting all dressed up. I am not sure what we are going to be this year but I have been thinking about it for months. I like doing family themes because I think we are cute when we all match but this year I am not sure if we can do that. One because Kiana has a mind of her own now and she wants to pick out her own costume, Two because I always have to work extra hard to get Brandon to dress up, and Three because we have cute costumes that Kiana has grown out of that will fit Mariah and I am not sure I can justify buying a new one for Mariah when I have perfectly good costumes already. So I guess we will see what happens this year. And now for a little Halloween

I love the Mountains

I am kinda bummed I haven't been able to enjoy the mountains very much this year. I love going camping, being outside, hanging out with friends and of course having the beautiful mountains in the background. We did get to enjoy the nice cool weather on Labor day!!! We went up Provo canyon with our friends Nate & Lindsey, Jenny & Joe and of course all the kids. We made tin foil dinners and smores. It was so nice to spend time with friends and enjoy the outdoors! I hope we spend a lot more time around campfires this fall before the cold winter comes.

Mariah is enjoying her first time around the fire!

5 Years.............

Can you believe it? We have been married for five years! I really am amazed at how fast times flies when your having fun:) Brandon and I got married 5 years ago in the Bountiful Utah temple. That was one of the best decision I have made in my life. Marriage was a lot different than I was expecting. It took awhile to get use to my new roommate. Now I can't imagine my life without him. We are so good together. We have added to our family throughout the years. First with Kiana and now with Mariah we are growing and I couldn't be more happy. The last five years have been the greatest in my life and I know the next five will be just as great.
For our 5 year anniversary we took a trip to San Diego. It was so much fun! We left the girls with my parents and it was great. I loved spending time with my husband without having to share each other with our girls for one weekend. We were like peas and carrots lol! We stayed in Vegas the first night which was fun. Then we went on to San Diego the next day. We drove with our friends Nate and Lindsey. When we got to San Diego we stayed with our cousin Ashley and her husband Bryant. Later we met up with some more friends Jake and Camille. It was fun to spend time with friends. We were able to go to the San Diego temple, which was pretty amazing because I was endowed there exactly 5 years earlier. We also went to Sea World, the beach, and went out at nights with no bedtimes to worry about:) It was a great trip. By the end of the trip I was ready to get home to my girls. It was a wonderful Anniversary!!

The BIG Apple

This summer was pretty crazy for us Robinsons. We lived in NYC and boy was it different. We did a lot of fun stuff. Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock, Broadway, Central Park, Metropolitan museum, China Town, Bronx Zoo I could go on and on but I will stop. My favorite thing in the city was Central Park. We went to Central Park almost everyday..... it is an amazing place! It was crazy trying to get around in New York. The subway system is awesome but its not so great when you have two kids and a stroller trying to go up and down the stairs...Grocery shopping was another challenge, we pretty much went to the grocery store every other day. The weather wasn't so bad but man that humidity killed me. Kiana loved all the tall buildings and I have to admit I was pretty amazed myself. Shopping was fun especially in China town. All and all we had a pretty awesome time in The BIG Apple:)
