Our crazy life

Life has been crazy lately, a lot has happened sense I posted last. I had a Birthday, I am now 25!
My friends took me out to dinner.
Brandon surprised me by taking me to Chef's Table and then we got couple massages after.
Then my Parents surprised me with cake and balloons. It was a great birthday.
Brandon's parents came into town for his graduation. It was good to see them we had a lot of fun together.

Brandon graduated with his Masters. I am so proud of him. He worked so hard for this. He truly is amazing!

After Brandon graduated we moved out to my parents ranch. It has been fun being with family and very peaceful living in the country. My next post will be about living on the ranch.

Good News!

This post if for anybody who read my earlier post about my sicknesses. So I went back for my checkup cat scan to see how the mass on my left lung was doing. The good news was it's smaller, not gone, but smaller. So that means it's not cancer!! Tumors apparently don't just get smaller they stay the same or grow. Bad news is I still have pneumonia a month later and it has now spread to my right lung. But I still consider this great news! It doesn't really affect me much unless I am working out and I am on a basketball team right now but other than that not much to complain about.

A Cold, Strep Throat, and then Pneumonia

So We got back from Florida and the next day I was sick, but it was bearable it was just a head cold, so I just kept going. I had basketball practice every night plus games I had to go to so there really wasn't time for me to be sick. We'll two days later I got so sick I couldn't move my body hurt so bad and my throat was killing me. I got up early that morning and went to the doctor because I had a game that day so I needed to hurry and get to the doctor because we were leaving at noon. Well I get to the doctor at 9:00 a.m. with my two kids I might add. I was feeling so sick I wanted to die well 2 1/2 hours later they told me I had strep. At that point I couldn't handle it anymore I just started balling in the doctors office, I felt like crap I had two kids running around going crazy and now I find out I can't go to my game (not that I would of been able to even if I wasn't contagious). So I went home and called Brandon, he came home and took care of me ( I love him so much). My sister Nina kept trying to help out and take care of me but I would not let her. She was getting married in a couple days and I did not want her to get sick. So anyways I got on the antibiotic and a couple days later I was doing better.

Even though I tried to keep Nina away from me she still ended up getting a cold the night before her wedding. Anyway I got better I thought, but then two weeks later I had the worst pain in my back and chest and I couldn't breath. It was so strange and it scared me because it came out of nowhere. I was fine one minute and then a half hour later I went from a small ache in my back to sharp unbearable pains. My dad told me it was pleurisy and told me to take ibuprofen. Well that helped me that night but the pain never went away. So I was researching pleurisy and I found out that pleurisy is caused by other illnesses. They had a list of things that caused pleurisy and a lot of them were pretty scary. So I went to the doctor, they did a CT scan to make sure it was not a blood clot in my lungs. The doctor called with the results. She said good news its not a blood clot, bad news there is something on you left lung. She told me it could either be pneumonia or a tumor. They decided to treat it as pneumonia because that makes a lot more sense then a tumor. So I took antibiotic again and started to feel a lot better. I feel like I am out of the water now but I still have to go back in a couple weeks to make sure the mass is gone, if not I guess its a tumor. I am 99.9% sure it's not a tumor. But my husband wants to make sure.

I know this post was long and boring so I apologize to those of you who had to sit through it. The next post will be all about Nina's wedding and have lots of pictures so stay tuned.

Florida

We took a trip to Florida in January to see Brandon's family. We were there for a week and it was so nice to have a break from life and visit with our family that we don't get to see very much. Brandon's mom recently had a stroke so we really wanted to go see her and help out while she was recovering. We love visiting with family and Nana and Papa really enjoy their grand babies.
